It's All Fun And Games Until Someone Breaks A Window

Our day started off great! Sam had a little swim party with friends in our front yard.  Yay!  Wahoo!  Fun!    Somewhere in there he found the garden shears in our shed.  Scary, but no one was hurt.  A little later he shattered a garden pot.  That's okay.  It was only 50 cents.  After that he decided to play drums on our living room window, which ended in disaster.  Go to your room, Sam.

These pictures don't do it justice.  I've heard that little boys break windows and get into other sorts of shenanigans but I think we may be starting off a little bit early.  Here's to a glorious future with two little boys!

He feels really bad about it.  Sort of.  He offered to use the money in his "chicken bank" to buy a new window.

I'm Eugene. You're Tangled.

Sam took ten sips of boost in order to watch the movie Tangled on Friday night.  All weekend long he has insisted that I call him Eugene and his baby doll is "baby Doo-gene".  He escorted me (Rapunzel/ Tangled) to my doctor appointment on Monday with Pascal, the chameleon, on his shoulder and an ikea child size frying pan in his hand.  The frying pan seemed like a better alternative to carrying a sword around.  The doctor said it was the most unique toy she has ever seen a child bring to the office.  It was all fun and games until this morning when he used the pan to whack the lamp plug out of the socket causing sparks to fly and leaving his frying pan scorched at the edges.   He seemed rather "shocked" after the incident.  We're all happy to be alive today.

One Fine Day

Samuel has been enjoying his abundance of puzzles that he has both borrowed and been given.  They're great for me because he can be attached to the pump for a good 30 minutes before he's ready to move onto something new.  No more chasing Sam through the house with a pump on a pole.  He has started to resist the feeding tube because it limits his freedom of mobility.  It's nice to find an entertaining activity that keeps him in one spot for awhile.  He was "free" from the feeding tube on this day.

As soon as we finished the puzzle he got down to give the fireman a kiss.  He's sweet like that.

Baby and Mommy/Daddy puzzles (thank you Aunt Sarah)

I thought that I might be able to fold laundry while he was distracted.  Wrong.  He dumped out all three baskets and jumped into the pile.

New Milestone - Sam can put on his own pants. again and again and again.  Sometimes he wears three pairs.
